Customer Review: Great Telescope Accessory, However...

I purchased the Barlow lens accessory for my son's Celestron StarBright XLT 6" telescope, as recommended by his Astronomy teachers. The Konus 2X Barlow lens works great, and does exactly what it says it will do. With the 6" Celestron StarBright XLT telescope we can see amazing impact crater detail on the moon, and we were able to see Jupiter and the cloud bands around the planet.

If you purchase the lens and filter Accessory Kit and case as recommended through Amazon when ordering a Celestron Telescope, a Barlow lens is included in the Accessory Kit as well. The description for the Accessory Kit does not specifically list which lenses are included. Had we known, we would have purchased the Solar Filter set instead, at the time of purchase.

If you are only looking for a 2X Barlow lens the Konus 2X Barlow Lens works just fine, however, we cannot see any difference between the Konus 2X Barlow and the more generic branded 2X Barlow lens that is included in the lens and filter Accessory Kit, which includes a 4mm, 6mm, 9mm, 15mm, 32mm Plossl Multi-Coated lenses, and seven different filters for star-gazing enhancement.
